Sport fishing at the Golden Gate

The McKinna 70 also runs a private sport-fishing charter to the Golden Gate Bank, about 20 to 30 nautical miles northwest of Cabo San Lucas on the Pacific side, where warm, plankton-rich currents hold the bait. You leave early with live bait from the bait boats in the bay and troll out to the bank, watching for frigate birds; striped marlin are strongest from November to March, blue and black marlin from July to October. A Mexican sport-fishing license for each angler on board is included, and catch and release is the custom in Cabo. The charter depends on the season and sea conditions, since the Pacific side closes more often than the bay. It's quoted separately: ask for it when you request your date.
