A private yacht for two in Cabo, in short
A romantic cruise in Cabo costs from USD 519 for two hours on the Chaparral 28, or USD 549 on the Bayliner 30 with a cabin, a head and water and sodas included. The Bayliner 33 has a bow sunpad made for two, and the Azimut 45 adds a flybridge sundeck and an air-conditioned salon for a longer evening. Whichever you pick, it is your boat, the captain and nobody else.
Two hours covers the Arch, the sea lions and Lover's Beach, then the slow cruise back along Médano Beach. Our honeymoon guide and the proposal guide cover spots, timing and prices for both.

Example prices for a romantic cruise in Cabo
These three are priced for two to ten people. The per-person figure assumes the boat is full; for two, divide the boat price by two: about USD 275 each on the Bayliner 30 for two hours.
| Yacht | 2 h | 3 h | 4 h |
|---|---|---|---|
| Chaparral 28 up to 10 guests | $519 $52 per person | $709 $71 per person | $909 $91 per person |
| Bayliner 30 up to 6 guests | $549 $92 per person | $799 $133 per person | $999 $167 per person |
| Bayliner 33 up to 8 guests | $599 $75 per person | $869 $109 per person | $1,139 $142 per person |
Prices per boat with 16% tax included; the 15% crew tip is not included. The per-person figure is the boat price divided by its full capacity, rounded.
For a dinner cruise with a chef and complimentary drinks served by the crew, the McKinna 70 starts at USD 4,499 for three hours; see our dinner cruise guide for how an evening on it runs.
Sunrise or sunset?
Sunrise in Cabo moves from about 5:35 AM in June to 7:05 AM in January, and the bay is empty and flat at that hour; add breakfast on board and you are back at the marina before the town wakes up. Sunset runs from about 5:35 PM in November to 7:08 PM in July, with the Arch in silhouette and the sun dropping into the Pacific. The sunrise boat guide has the times month by month; the planner suggests the departure for your date.
Proposals on the water
Mention it in the request. The captain plans the stop at the Arch for the right light, slows the boat and keeps the deck to the two of you while the deckhand takes photos. Bring the ring in a pocket with a zipper, your own champagne (the crew keeps it on ice; the yachts do not sell alcohol), and a cardstock sign if you want one: balloons are no longer allowed on board by the Port Captain. A professional photographer can join for USD 180, with all the photos from your charter, paid directly to the photographer. Add it in the planner, or take your own photos. Flowers and drone shots are arranged on request and quoted separately.
What to bring for two
A light layer for the evening, sunscreen, a towel each if your yacht does not include them (the Sea Ray 36, Sea Ray 40 and Azimut 45 do), and the playlist on a phone. Food is ordered in the planner or brought from town; a small cheese board is MXN 780. Cabo stays on Mountain Standard Time all year, so check sunset times against local time, not your phone's home zone.
