The short answer

Which ships come, and on which day.

The schedule lists 26 to 38 calls a month with published times between October 2026 and April 2027. On most days at least one ship is in the bay, and a few days have three or four.

Some ships keep the same day almost every week. Discovery Princess is in on Mondays from noon to 8 PM (2 to 9 PM in March and early April). Norwegian Encore comes on Tuesdays from 11 AM to 7 PM. Carnival Panorama alternates: most Fridays it is in from 6:30 AM to 1:30 or 2:30 PM, and some Tuesdays it arrives between 10 AM and noon and stays overnight until 4 PM Wednesday. Voyager of the Seas usually arrives on Sunday at 12:30 PM, sometimes stays until 6 PM Monday, and on some weeks comes on another day.

Cabo is a tender port. There is no cruise terminal or pier for big ships, so they anchor in the bay and run tenders, a ride of 10 to 15 minutes, to the landing on the south side of Marina Cabo San Lucas. Downtown starts right there, and the walk to the center takes 10 to 15 minutes.

Ship times change during the season, and a cruise line can move or drop a call. Confirm your times with your cruise line before you plan anything around them. We last checked this schedule on 10 Oct 2026. Every time on this page is Cabo time: Mountain Standard Time all year, with no daylight saving, and your ship's clock may not match it.

Where the tender lands

Tenders take 10 to 15 minutes to reach the landing on the south side of Marina Cabo San Lucas. The line is longest in the first hour, so leave a buffer before your charter. Our yachts board inside the same marina, each at its own dock, except the Sea Ray 65, which meets you at Fisherman's Landing restaurant, by the Cabo Escape terminal.

What fits in 2, 3 or 4 hours

Two hours covers the Arch and Land's End route: Pelican Rock, the sea lions, the Arch, Lover's and Divorce Beach, and back along Médano Beach, 4.7 miles round trip. Three hours adds a swim stop. Four hours reaches Santa María Bay to snorkel, 15.5 miles round trip, which suits the ships that stay eight hours. Two hours starts at USD 519 per boat, tax included.

Overnight calls

When your ship stays the night, you have the evening free. Yachts sail until 8 PM, and those that leave from the marina can stay anchored in the bay until 10 PM, so a sunset cruise fits. From November to April the sun sets between about 5:35 and 6:40 PM.

If the port closes

The Port Captain closes the harbor when a storm threatens, mostly from September to mid-October. If that happens on your date, you get a new date or a full refund. Swell can also stop the tenders: in early October 2026 one ship skipped Cabo for that reason. If your ship changes its plans, text us as soon as you know. More in how weather cancellations work.
