The hotel
Le Blanc Spa Resort Los Cabos is an adults-only, all-inclusive resort run by Palace Resorts at km 18.4 of the Carretera Transpeninsular, in Lomas del Tule on the Tourist Corridor of Los Cabos. It is about 17.1 km from the Cabo San Lucas Marina, around 21 minutes by car without traffic; at rush hour the drive takes longer. It opened in March 2018 as the second Le Blanc, after the original in Cancún.
Forbes Travel Guide describes the resort's frontage as a stretch of golden beach with loungers. It does not say whether the sea there is safe for swimming, so ask the beach staff before going in.1
History and curious facts
The story of Le Blanc Spa Resort Los Cabos
Palace Resorts, the Mexican company behind the Le Blanc brand, presented the project in 2017 as its second Le Blanc in Mexico. The exterior is by architect Roberto Elias of Elias Estudio, who laid out four buildings that curve toward the ocean, and the interiors are by Francois Frossard, who took his cues from the Sea of Cortez and the hills around the site. Spa consultant Diana Mestre of Mestre & Mestre worked on the 29,000 square foot spa, built around what she called a white serenity mood. The resort was first expected in late 2017 and then early 2018. Palace Resorts held its grand opening with a weekend of events in March 2018. Executive vice president Gibran Chapur described it then as an adults-only, luxury all-inclusive, and each suite was assigned a butler from the start.

- The spa has 25 treatment rooms, nine of them for couples, plus a VIP couples suite with its own sauna, steam room and experience shower.2
- The signature restaurant, Lumière, was announced with a seven-course French tasting menu, and every other restaurant carries the Blanc name, such as Blanc Ocean and Blanc Italia.3
- Suites were announced at 760 to 1,400 square feet, each with a private terrace facing the ocean.3

If you have a spa booking, a morning departure gets you back in time for the afternoon. From December to April the whale-watching trip is another option, and the driver brings you back to Lomas del Tule when the boat returns.
