Cabo events in November 2026: the full calendar, date by date

November 2026 in Los Cabos has four big events: the Day of the Dead festival in San José del Cabo (November 1 and 2), the PGA TOUR's World Wide Technology Championship at Diamante (November 2 to 8), the SCORE Baja 1000, which starts and finishes in San José del Cabo for the first time (November 9 to 15), and the Pacífico Surf Open at Playa Cerritos (November 19 to 22). The first humpback whales also start showing up, and the Thursday Art Walk returns to San José.

We built this calendar from the Baja California Sur tourism calendar (SETUE) and from what the organizers had published as of October 8, 2026. Where a detail isn't confirmed yet, we say so.

November 2026 events at a glance

Day of the Dead in San José del Cabo (November 1 and 2)

The municipality runs the Día de Muertos festival in San José del Cabo through its culture institute. The main day is Monday, November 2, at Plaza Antonio Mijares, with altar, catrina and pan de muerto contests, a talent show, a film screening and a parade. It's free.

The full schedule and parade route haven't been published yet, so check the Ayuntamiento de Los Cabos announcements before you head over. Contest registration closes October 29 at 2 PM, in case you're local and want to enter.

Two more options on the same days: - Flora Farms, San José del Cabo, November 2 from 6 to 9 PM: the 10th edition of its altar competition. It's a charity event, and the ticket price isn't confirmed. - Todos Santos, November 1 and 2: the 10th edition run by Amigos Nuestro Pueblo, with a catrina contest, a pet costume contest, a big altar and a screening of Coco. Check the venue with the organizer.

The PGA TOUR at Diamante (November 2 to 8)

The World Wide Technology Championship turns 20 this year. It's played at El Cardonal at Diamante, the Tiger Woods design on the Pacific side of Cabo San Lucas. Pro-ams run November 2 to 4, and the official rounds go Thursday to Sunday, November 5 to 8. The field is 120 players and the purse is US$6 million. Ben Griffin is the defending champion.

Tickets are sold at tickets.wwtchampionship.com, and all sales are final. The tournament has fan zones, junior clinics and live entertainment. 2026 ticket prices, shuttles and parking haven't been announced yet.

The Baja 1000 starts in San José del Cabo (November 9 to 15)

The 59th SCORE Baja 1000 is the first in the race's history to start and finish in San José del Cabo. The loop runs about 965 miles (1,553 km), all inside Baja California Sur, through Cabo Pulmo, Los Barriles, Los Planes, La Paz, El Centenario, Ciudad Constitución, Loreto, Todos Santos and Cabo San Lucas. Teams get 40 hours to finish, and the route map is still preliminary.

The race week:

Spectators can watch along the route and at the start, finish and inspection. Exact start times aren't confirmed, so check SCORE's site during race week. If you plan to drive the highway around those days, ask your hotel about any local traffic notices.

Pro surfing at Playa Cerritos (November 19 to 22)

The third Pacífico Surf Open comes to Playa Cerritos in El Pescadero, about 40 miles north of Cabo San Lucas. It's a WSL qualifying event with more than 120 surfers, plus music, beach movies and a market between heats. Admission is free.

The Marlini fishing tournament (October 31 and November 1)

SETUE lists the Marlini for October 31 and November 1 in Cabo San Lucas. The 2025 edition was based at Marina IGY. The 2026 venue and schedule aren't confirmed, so check with the organizer.

Our only fishing yacht is the McKinna 70, on its private sport-fishing charter; the tournament itself is for watching from the dock, especially the scene at the marina around weigh-in time.

Near Los Cabos: Todos Santos, La Paz and farther north

Todos Santos is 48 miles (77 km) north of Cabo San Lucas on Highway 19, about an hour each way. From November 6 to 8 it hosts the third Todos Santos Wellness Fest at Santa Terra Living, a paid wellness festival. If you make the drive, our Todos Santos day trip guide fills in the rest of the day.

In La Paz, the Don Diablo Trail Run is on Sunday, November 15. Much farther north, the state calendar lists the Loreto Sprint Triathlon on November 7.

The San José Art Walk starts its season

The San José del Cabo Art Walk runs Thursdays from 5 to 9 PM, November to June, in the gallery streets by the mission. The 2026 opening date hasn't been announced; in 2025 it started November 6. Our Art Walk guide covers parking and timing.

The first whales of the season

Humpback whales start arriving in Cabo in November. These are the first of the year, and nobody can say which day they'll show up. The official 2026 to 2027 whale-watching season hasn't been published in Mexico's federal register yet. Last season ran December 15, 2025 to April 30, 2026.

That's why we don't sell whale-watching tours in November. If a whale surfaces near your sunset or snorkel charter, you'll see it from the boat, but no one can promise one. To plan around the real season, read our whale watching in Cabo guide.

Holidays: Revolution Day and Thanksgiving

Mexico's Revolution Day holiday falls on Monday, November 16 in 2026, so Mexican families get a long weekend from Saturday the 14th to Monday the 16th. That's the same weekend as the Baja 1000. No parade has been announced for Los Cabos on November 20; La Paz usually holds one, so check with the organizer if you want to go.

Thanksgiving is Thursday, November 26. There are no public events, only resort dinners, but the week brings a lot of U.S. families and the marina gets busy.

Check with the organizer before you plan a day around one: - Day of the Dead at El Médano, October 31 to November 3. - Mar de Ofrendas at Plaza Amelia Wilkes, Cabo San Lucas (held in 2025). - A Taste of San José gala, November 11. - Oktoberfest Cabo, November 14, Plaza Los Cabos. - Baja Groove dance contest, November 28 and 29, Marina Cabo San Lucas.

Fitting a boat day into an events week

November is one of the best months on the water. The sea starts the month around 83°F (28°C) and ends near 80°F (27°C), and sunsets come early: about 5:42 PM on November 1 and 5:35 PM by mid-month. Our trip guide has day-by-day weather, and Cabo in November goes deeper on the month.

With golf at Diamante and the Baja 1000 in San José taking up mornings, late afternoon is usually free. A 2-hour sunset cruise leaves Marina Cabo San Lucas, passes the Arch and comes back as the town lights come on. For two, the Bayliner 30 is USD 549 / MXN 10,499 for 2 hours. For a group of up to 12, the Sea Ray 40 is USD 879 / MXN 16,799, and for a bigger crew of up to 18, the Pontoon 38 is USD 869 / MXN 16,599. Prices are per boat, tax included, tip not included. No alcohol is sold on board; guests 18 and over can bring their own.

Tournament week, the long weekend and Thanksgiving week fill up first. If your dates are set, hold a yacht in the planner and pick a departure time that gets you back for your event.
