The World Wide Technology Championship 2026 is the week of November 2 to 8 at El Cardonal at Diamante, the Tiger Woods course on the Pacific side of Cabo San Lucas. The four official rounds are Thursday to Sunday, November 5 to 8, after three days of pro-ams. Tickets are sold only on the tournament's site, all sales are final, and 2026 prices aren't shown yet.

We run private yachts out of Marina Cabo San Lucas, so we don't sell tournament tickets. What follows is what the PGA TOUR and the organizer have published as of October 8, 2026, what they haven't, and how a golf group can fit a boat into the week.

Tournament week at a glance

Wed, Nov 4 El Cardonal and Dunes Pro-Ams Both Diamante courses The last pro-am day before the tournament
Thu to Sun, Nov 5 to 8 Official rounds El Cardonal at Diamante 72 holes of stroke play, 120 players

The pro-am schedule comes from the organizer's 2026 announcement, published by First Call Golf. The round dates are on the PGA TOUR tournament page.

When is the World Wide Technology Championship 2026?

The full week is November 2 to 8. Monday to Wednesday belong to the pro-ams, and the tournament proper runs Thursday, November 5, through Sunday, November 8. Gate times and daily tee times haven't been posted yet, so check the tournament site the week before you go.

This is the 20th edition. The event started in 2007 at Mayakoba, on the Riviera Maya, and moved to El Cardonal in 2023, so 2026 is its fourth year in a row in Los Cabos.

Where is El Cardonal at Diamante?

Diamante is a private resort community on the Pacific side of Cabo San Lucas, northwest of downtown and a short way up the coast from the old Cabo Falso lighthouse. It has two courses: the Dunes Course, by Davis Love III, and El Cardonal.

El Cardonal opened in 2014 and was the first course Tiger Woods designed. PGA TOUR lists it as a par 72 at 7,452 yards. On a normal week it's for members and resort guests only, so tournament week is one of the few chances most visitors get to walk it.

That photo is the neighboring Dunes Course, which hosts one of the Wednesday pro-ams. It gives you a fair idea of the setting: dune grass, sand and open Pacific.

Field, purse and defending champion

Item 2026
Field 120 players
Purse USD 6,000,000
FedExCup Fall points to the winner 500
Defending champion Ben Griffin

Ben Griffin won in November 2025 at 29 under par, a 72-hole total of 259 and a tournament record. It was his third PGA TOUR win of that season. We've left out other player names, since the field can change right up to the event; the PGA TOUR page posts it before Thursday.

How do you buy tickets?

Tickets are sold at tickets.wwtchampionship.com, linked from wwtchampionship.com. The ticket page says plainly that all sales are final and nothing is refundable.

These are the options listed on the official site. None of them shows a price as of October 8, 2026.

Ticket Where on the course What's included
General Admission The whole course and grounds Walk the course; food and drink for sale
The Skybox 18th green Seating with a full buffet and open bar
Tacos on 17 by La Lupita Between the 17th and 10th greens Tacos, tequila, mezcal and beer
Clubhouse 1st tee and 18th green Viewing area at The Woods restaurant; food and drink not included

With General Admission, kids 15 and under get in free with a ticketed adult, up to two kids per adult.

The site also lists a Fan Zone, a junior golf clinic, a fitness bootcamp, the Los Cabos Junior Golf Series and Golf is Gourmet, a dinner that pairs VIP guests with tour players and local chefs. Days and times for these aren't published yet.

What to know before you go

The organizer's "Know Before You Go" page for 2026 sets a bag policy and a list of banned items:

  • Clear bags up to 12 x 6 x 12 inches are allowed, plus small opaque bags up to 6 x 6 x 6 inches.
  • No backpacks, coolers, folding chairs or chair bags.
  • No outside food or drinks, and no pets except trained service dogs.
  • Phones are allowed on silent, with no flash and no live streaming.

Cabo runs on Mountain Standard Time all year with no daylight saving. If you're flying in from the US the week the clocks change back, double check your tee times and tour schedules against local time.

Parking, shuttles and what isn't published yet

The official parking page has driving directions to General Parking. From downtown Cabo San Lucas, take the federal highway toward Todos Santos, turn onto Paseo Acceso a Diamante about 300 meters past the municipal police station, follow it 1.2 km to a T intersection, then turn right and go 2.8 km to the lot.

What the organizer hasn't published as of October 8, 2026:

  • Ticket prices for 2026, for every option above.
  • Whether there are shuttles from downtown or from the hotel zone.
  • What parking costs, and whether rideshare drop-off is allowed.
  • Gate opening hours and the daily schedule of the fan events.
  • Which days each ticket covers, and whether the pro-am days are open to the public.

Check the tournament site before you plan around any of these. We'll update this article if they come out.

Where can you play golf that week?

Both Diamante courses are for members and resort guests, so watching is as close as most visitors get. If your group wants its own round, our guide to Cabo golf courses lists which courses have taken outside tee times, from Cabo San Lucas Country Club near downtown to Puerto Los Cabos in San José. Palmilla, in the photo below, limits outside play, so ask the course first.

Book those tee times early, because the tournament fills hotels and cars on top of the usual early November golf trips. Our Cabo in November guide covers the weather and everything else on that month's calendar.

A group plan: golf at the tournament, then a yacht

Most golf groups won't spend all seven days at Diamante. The pro-am days, the Monday after, or the late afternoon once you've seen enough of the leaders all leave room for a boat.

On the day off: four hours on the water

Our typical 4 hour route goes past the Arch first, then up the coast to snorkel Santa María Bay, with a swim stop on the way back. Early November is one of the better months for it, with warm water and the first whales starting to arrive. For a company group, the corporate and groups page covers how we quote and confirm.

At sunset: two hours after the course

The sun sets at about 5:40 PM in the first week of November, among the earliest sunsets of the year. A 2 hour sunset cruise that leaves the marina around 4:00 PM rounds Land's End to the Pacific side and faces the sun as it drops toward Cabo Falso, the same coast Diamante sits on. Yachts sail until 8 PM, and those leaving from the marina may stay anchored in the bay until 10 PM.

Which yacht fits a golf group?

Group Yacht 2 hours 4 hours
Up to 12 Sea Ray 40 USD 879 / MXN 16,799 USD 1,499 / MXN 28,499
Up to 15 Sea Ray 55 USD 2,129 / MXN 40,399 (3 h) USD 2,709 / MXN 51,499
Up to 18 Pontoon 38 USD 869 / MXN 16,599 USD 1,619 / MXN 30,799

Prices are per boat, 16% IVA tax included, and the customary 15% crew tip is not included. The Sea Ray 55 is the one we'd suggest for a client group: it has air conditioning, cabins and heads, and comes with water, sodas and ice. The Sea Ray 40 includes towels.

For a hosted dinner on the water, the McKinna 70 carries up to 12 guests with a chef, a multi-course menu cooked on board and complimentary drinks served by the crew. The minimum is 3 hours at USD 4,499 (MXN 85,499). On every other yacht we don't sell alcohol, and guests 18 and over bring their own. Our corporate yacht event guide has more on hosting clients.

Fishing is only on the McKinna 70's sport-fishing charter; the other yachts are pleasure yachts without fishing permits.

Booking around the tournament

Lock in your tournament tickets and tee times first. Then send us your free day or your sunset evening, your head count and whether you want the Arch, snorkeling or the Pacific sunset through the planner. We reply within 2 hours, 8 AM to 8 PM Cabo time, and confirm the yacht in writing before any payment.
