A corporate yacht event in Cabo San Lucas costs USD 1,619 / MXN 30,799 for four hours on the Pontoon 38 for up to 18 people, or USD 5,999 / MXN 113,999 for four hours on the McKinna 70, which includes a chef, a multi-course menu and complimentary drinks for up to 12. Every price is per boat with the 16% IVA tax included, boarding at Marina Cabo San Lucas downtown. The customary 15% crew tip is not included, and payment goes through a secure Stripe link after the date is confirmed in writing.
How payment and tax work for a company booking
Booking takes three steps:
- You send the date, headcount, hours and yacht through the planner or WhatsApp.
- We reply in writing within two hours, between 8 AM and 8 PM Cabo time.
- Once the date is confirmed in writing, we send a secure Stripe link. It accepts cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay.
Prices are shown in USD and MXN (we use 19 pesos to the dollar), and the 16% Mexican IVA is already in the price. There's no tax line added at the end, which makes budget approvals simpler: the number in the planner is the charter cost.
What's not in that number is the crew tip. The custom in Cabo is 15%, paid to the crew on the day. On a four-hour Pontoon 38 that's about USD 243 / MXN 4,620. Build it into the budget so whoever is hosting isn't paying it from their own pocket.
If your finance team needs paperwork beyond the payment itself, ask us in writing before you pay so we can tell you what's possible for your booking.
Each charter is run by an independent licensed operator. We're the booking agency that matches your group with the yacht and handles the confirmation.
Which yacht fits your headcount?
Guest limits are firm. Count everyone, including hosts and anyone from your team who is coming along to help.
| Group | Best fit | 4 hours |
|---|---|---|
| Up to 12, relaxed | Sea Ray 40 | USD 1,499 / MXN 28,499 |
| Up to 12, flybridge and towels | Azimut 45 Flybridge | USD 2,099 / MXN 39,899 |
| Up to 12, menu and drinks included, chef extra | Azimut 70 | USD 5,299 / MXN 100,699 |
| Up to 12, VIP clients, chef included | McKinna 70 | USD 5,999 / MXN 113,999 |
| 13 to 15 | Sea Ray 55 | USD 2,709 / MXN 51,499 |
| 16 to 18 | Pontoon 38 | USD 1,619 / MXN 30,799 |
| 19 or more | Two boats, same time and route | Sum of both |
The Sea Ray 55 has air conditioning, cabins and heads, which suits a mixed group of executives and spouses. The Pontoon 38 has two decks and a water slide from the upper deck, which suits a sales team that hit its number. For budget sheets that work per head, here's a full boat for four hours: about USD 90 / MXN 1,711 per person on the Pontoon 38 with 18 people, about USD 181 / MXN 3,433 on the Sea Ray 55 with 15, and about USD 500 / MXN 9,500 on the McKinna 70 with 12, food and complimentary drinks included. The 15% crew tip is a suggestion, paid in cash on board, and isn't included in these prices.
The whole fleet by headcount is on our yacht by group size page, and the top of the fleet on the luxury yachts page.

Incentive trips: a two-boat day for 19 or more people
An incentive group of 19 or more is more than any single yacht in our fleet takes, so you book two yachts for the same departure time and the same route, so everyone leaves Marina Cabo San Lucas together, meets up at the Arch for the group photo and anchors near each other for the swim stop. Each yacht keeps its own guests for the whole trip, so split by team or by table.
| Guests | Yachts | 4 hours, total | Per person, before tip |
|---|---|---|---|
| 24 | Sea Ray 40 + Azimut 45 | USD 3,598 / MXN 68,398 | about USD 150 |
| 30 | Pontoon 38 + Sea Ray 40 | USD 3,118 / MXN 59,298 | about USD 104 |
| 33 | Pontoon 38 + Sea Ray 55 | USD 4,328 / MXN 82,298 | about USD 131 |
| 36 | Two Pontoon 38 | USD 3,238 / MXN 61,598 | about USD 90 |
Put the executives and the clients on the Sea Ray 55 (A/C, cabins) or the McKinna 70, and the rest of the team on the Pontoon 38. Say in your request that the boats need to sail together, and we line up the departure. Our large groups guide has more pairings.
Food and drinks for a corporate event
You have two routes.
Food and drinks included: the McKinna 70 or the Azimut 70
The McKinna 70 is a 70-foot luxury motor yacht with a crew of five, including the captain, deckhands and a chef, and the crew is bilingual. The price includes a multi-course menu cooked on board, welcome snacks with fresh guacamole, and complimentary drinks served by the crew. For client hospitality, that means no one from your side is pouring drinks or unpacking coolers. It has a three-hour minimum: USD 4,499 / MXN 85,499 for three hours, USD 5,999 / MXN 113,999 for four.
The Azimut 70 is a 70-foot flybridge with two cabins and an A/C salon, a crew of three, a menu on board (fish ceviche, sashimi, beef or chicken fajitas, guacamole with chips) and complimentary beer and cocktails served by the crew. A chef is available at an extra charge. Three hours is USD 4,199 / MXN 79,799. Our McKinna 70 vs Azimut 70 comparison goes through both, and the all-inclusive page lists what each includes.
Any other yacht: order from our menu
On every other yacht, food is optional and ordered in the planner. Menu prices are cash prices in pesos, and paying by card adds 16%. Examples:
| Item | Cash price | About in USD |
|---|---|---|
| Mexican feast for 14 to 16 people | MXN 4,550 | USD 239 |
| Large board | MXN 2,520 | USD 133 |
| Lunch and 5 soft drinks | MXN 493 | USD 26 |
| Burrito box lunch | MXN 289 | USD 15 |
Box lunches are handy for a team day because everyone gets their own. Boards and the feast work better for a client reception.
Alcohol is not sold or served on these yachts. Guests 18 and over may bring their own. For a company event, decide your alcohol policy before the day and tell whoever is buying for the cooler.

Fitting the boat around a conference schedule
Departures run from 7 AM to 7 PM. Most yachts have a two-hour minimum; the Sea Ray 55, the Sea Ray 65, the Azimut 70 and the McKinna 70 have three. That gives you a few patterns that work around a program:
- Before the first session. A 7 or 8 AM departure with a two-hour run has people back by mid-morning.
- Free afternoon. Four hours covers the Arch and a snorkel stop. Santa María Bay, the usual four-hour cove up the coast, is closed for snorkeling for now and expected to reopen in November; meanwhile the stop is Pelican Rock, next to the Arch.
- After the last session. A two-hour sunset run, then the option to stay anchored in the bay. Yachts from the marina sail until 8 PM and can stay anchored until 10 PM.
If your team is flying in from the U.S., note that Cabo is on MST all year, with no daylight saving time, so check the departure time against your agenda in local time. Sunset times by month are on our trip guide.
Team building or client entertainment?
They're different days, so pick the format first.
For team building, the four-hour route gives people something to do together. Snorkel gear is included on every yacht. The route leaves the marina, passes Pelican Rock, the Arch and the sea lion colony, with a swim stop before the boat returns along Médano Beach. The Sea Ray 55's floating pool, paddle board and floating platform keep a team busy at anchor.
For client entertainment, shorter and calmer usually works better. Two or three hours at the Arch, Lover's Beach and back along Médano Beach as the town lights come on gives your guests the view without a long day on the water. On the McKinna 70, the chef and crew make it feel like a hosted dinner. Our yacht day itinerary guide shows what two, three and four hours each cover.
The corporate experience page has more on both.
Where the group boards
Each yacht boards at its own dock in Marina Cabo San Lucas, in downtown Cabo; the Azimut 70 and the McKinna 70 board at the IGY Marina Fuel Dock (no dock fee). It's a walk from the Médano Beach hotels and a taxi ride from the resorts along the corridor. You get the exact slip with your confirmation. Our marina guide explains how to get there.
The Sea Ray 65 meets you at Fisherman's Landing restaurant, by the Cabo Escape terminal, and has to be back by 8 PM.
Weather, cancellations and the fine print
Only the Port Captain (Capitanía de Puerto, part of the Mexican Navy) can close the harbor, and it does so only under a hurricane or storm threat or another extraordinary situation. Most closures fall between September and mid-October. If your charter can't go out, you choose a new date or get a full refund. If your event is tied to fixed conference dates, a charter early in your stay leaves room to use a new date if it comes to that.
A few more rules that come up with groups: there's no fishing except on the McKinna 70's sport-fishing charter (the other yachts are pleasure yachts without fishing permits), the guest limit can't be stretched for a last-minute addition, and branded decorations are cardstock and a sign only, since the Port Captain no longer allows balloons on board. For the team photo, a professional photographer can join for USD 180, with all the photos from your charter, paid directly to the photographer. Add it in the planner. A DJ for an incentive party goes on yachts of 40 ft or more, from USD 399 for 2 hours (USD 649 for 3 hours on 50 ft and up, their minimum), plus USD 150 per extra hour, paid directly to the DJ.
Getting a written quote
Put the date, headcount and preferred hours into the planner. It shows the price in USD and MXN, and you can add food there. We reply in writing within two hours, 8 AM to 8 PM Cabo time, which gives you something to forward for approval the same day. For client hospitality we'd start with the McKinna 70; a team of 13 to 15 fits the Sea Ray 55, up to 18 fits the Pontoon 38, and 19 or more needs two boats from the incentive table.

Questions people ask
How much does a corporate yacht event in Cabo cost?
A four-hour charter for up to 18 people on the Pontoon 38 costs USD 1,619 / MXN 30,799 per boat. Four hours on the McKinna 70, with a chef and complimentary drinks for up to 12, cost USD 5,999 / MXN 113,999. The 16% IVA tax is included and the 15% crew tip is not.
How does a company pay for a yacht charter in Cabo?
Once we confirm the date in writing, we send a secure Stripe link that takes cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay. Prices are shown in USD and MXN with the 16% IVA already included, so the planner's number is the charter cost.
What's the best Cabo yacht for a client event?
The McKinna 70, because the crew of five and an onboard chef handle the food and complimentary drinks, so your hosts can focus on the guests. It takes up to 12 people and has a three-hour minimum. The Azimut 70 is the alternative with a set menu, two cabins and A/C.
Can a corporate group of 30 go out on yachts in Cabo together?
Yes, on two or three yachts booked for the same departure and route. The Pontoon 38 and the Sea Ray 55 together take 33 people for USD 4,328 / MXN 82,298 for four hours, about USD 131 each before the tip.
Can we fit a boat trip around a conference schedule in Cabo?
Yes. Departures run from 7 AM to 7 PM with a two-hour minimum on most yachts, so a morning before sessions or a sunset after them both work. Marina yachts can stay anchored in the bay until 10 PM.
