Casa Dorada Los Cabos Resort & Spa is a 181-suite beachfront hotel on Médano Beach, Avenida del Pescador, in Cabo San Lucas, Baja California Sur. It is about 0.7 km in a straight line from the Cabo San Lucas marina, around 2 minutes by car without traffic, with longer drives at rush hour. The hotel opened in early 2008 and is about a five-minute walk from downtown Cabo San Lucas.
Casa Dorada faces Médano Beach, which the hotel describes as a swimmable Blue Flag beach. From the sand you look across the bay to the Arch of Cabo San Lucas.1

The story of Casa Dorada Los Cabos Resort & Spa
Casa Dorada was the first new Cabo San Lucas property covered for 2008 by Travel Agent, in a report published in December 2007 that gave January 21, 2008 as the opening date. At that time the hotel was presented with 186 oceanview rooms and suites, 13 of them penthouse suites facing Land's End, with sizes between 2,000 and 4,500 square feet, several bedrooms, kitchens and furnished terraces. The opening plan also included a 7,000-square-foot Saltwater Spa that gave every guest a saltwater ritual with each treatment, and a restaurant called 12 Tribes whose chef, Fabian Rios, sourced close to 400 ingredients from 30 countries. The hotel's own site now lists 181 suites, two free-form pools surrounded by palms and hammocks, a fitness center, a playground for children and a pet-friendly policy, and it still calls its spa the SaltwaterSpa. The address is on Avenida del Pescador, in the El Médano neighborhood, and the hotel puts downtown about five minutes away on foot.
