Baja Cantina Marina is an open-air palapa restaurant on Marina Cabo San Lucas, across from the entrance to Docks L, M and N, and it has been on the marina since 1991, by its own account. It serves breakfast, seafood and Mexican food from 7 AM to 11 PM daily (as of October 2026; confirm before you go). It is also the meeting point for our Azimut 45 Flybridge, so plenty of our guests eat there before or after their charter.

Below: where it is, what to order, how breakfast fits around a morning departure, and how the meeting point works on the day.

Where is Baja Cantina in Cabo San Lucas?

The address is Blvd. Paseo de la Marina S/N, Centro, 23450, Cabo San Lucas. The restaurant sits on the marina walk, facing the gate to Docks L, M and N. On our boarding passes that stretch of the harbor is called Dock LMN.

You'll see the marina written two ways, Marina Cabo San Lucas and IGY Marina Cabo San Lucas. They are the same place; IGY runs it. If you're staying at a Médano Beach hotel you can walk over along the waterfront, and from the resorts on the corridor it's a taxi ride. Our page on Marina Cabo San Lucas has the layout of the whole harbor.

The phone number is +52 624 154 0076, and the restaurant posts its music nights and specials on Instagram as @bajacantinamarina.

What to order at Baja Cantina

The menu mixes seafood, Mexican plates and international dishes, so a group with different tastes usually finds something for everyone. Prices on its OpenTable listing in 2026 put most main plates between MXN 310 and 500.

In the morning, the breakfast menu has chilaquiles, Steak Benedict, hot cakes and huevos a la mexicana (eggs scrambled with tomato, onion and chile). Chilaquiles are the safe bet before a boat day: fried tortilla pieces simmered in red or green salsa, with cream and cheese on top. They fill you up without sitting heavy.

Later in the day, ask for the guacamole, which is made at your table. Another dish to try is the shrimp stuffed with cheese and wrapped in bacon, which Los Cabos Magazine wrote about in 2016. Seafood fills much of the rest of the menu.

Can you have breakfast at Baja Cantina before a morning charter?

Yes, if your departure leaves enough time after the kitchen opens at 7 AM. Our departures run from 7 AM to 7 PM, so the timing depends on the slot you pick.

Here's how a morning works when the Azimut 45 is your yacht. For a 9 AM departure, sit down around 7:30, order by 7:45 and you'll be done well before 8:45, which is when you should be at the meeting point anyway. Since the meeting point is the restaurant itself, you don't need to add walking time.

A 7 AM departure is a different story, because the restaurant opens at the same hour. In that case you have two easy options. Eat at Baja Cantina when you come back, or order breakfast on board from our menu when you book. Chilaquiles and beans or huevos rancheros cost MXN 325 each, and yogurt with granola is MXN 325 too (cash prices; card adds 16%). You add them in the planner.

For a full list of early options around the harbor, including places that open before 7, see our guide to breakfast near Cabo Marina.

Baja Cantina has big screens for live sports, and it books live music, which it announces on Instagram and its website. If there's a game you don't want to miss before or after your charter, this is one of the easier places on the marina to catch it.

The restaurant also has a long link to sportfishing. The Bisbee's Black & Blue, a marlin tournament that dates to 1981, has held award ceremonies at Baja Cantina. If you're in town during the tournament, our article on the Bisbee's Black & Blue in Cabo has more on the tournament.

How does Baja Cantina work as the Azimut 45 meeting point?

The Azimut 45 meets you at Baja Cantina restaurant, by Dock LMN in IGY Marina Cabo San Lucas. Each yacht in our fleet boards at its own dock, and this is the one for the Azimut 45.

Your boarding pass brings everything you need to find it. It has a link to the map pin for Baja Cantina and a photo of the restaurant, so you can recognize the front from the walkway (it looks like the photo at the top of this page). Plan to arrive 15 minutes before your departure time. That gives you time to find the spot and get everyone together before the clock starts.

There's no dock fee for boarding here. The price you see when you book is per boat with the 16% IVA tax included. The customary crew tip of 15% is a suggestion and isn't included; you hand it to the captain at the end in cash. Our guide on tipping the boat crew works out the amount for each yacht.

A few practical points for the day:

  • We don't sell alcohol on board. Guests 18 and over may bring their own drinks, and the yacht has a cooler with ice, water and sodas.
  • If your group is meeting at different times, the restaurant is an easy place to wait in the shade with a coffee or a juice.
  • If you're running late, message us on WhatsApp at +52 624 300 8029 so we can tell the crew.

What is the Azimut 45 like?

The Azimut 45 Flybridge is a 45 ft Italian flybridge yacht for up to 12 guests. It comes with a captain and a deckhand, towels, snorkel gear, a paddle board, a floating mat and a cooler with ice, water and sodas. The flybridge on top is where most people spend the ride out to the Arch.

Charter length Price per boat (tax included)
2 hours USD 1,249 / MXN 23,799
3 hours USD 1,649 / MXN 31,399
4 hours USD 2,099 / MXN 39,899
6 hours USD 2,979 / MXN 56,699

The 15% crew tip is not included in these prices. Two hours covers the Arch and Land's End loop; four hours adds time to anchor and swim. If you want to compare it with other boats for the same group size, the fleet page shows them side by side.

Should you eat before or after the charter?

It depends on the time of day you sail.

On a morning charter, eat before. Chilaquiles at 7:30 and a 9 AM departure is an easy rhythm, and you won't be looking for food two hours into the trip.

On a midday charter, eat after. When you come back at 2 or 3 PM, lunch is under a shaded palapa next to the dock, with no transport to arrange between the yacht and the table.

On a sunset charter, eat after as well. Yachts sail until 8 PM, and Baja Cantina stays open until 11 PM (as of October 2026; confirm before you go), so dinner after a sunset cruise on the Azimut 45 fits without rushing. For a big group, call ahead.

Other restaurants on the marina

Baja Cantina is one of several places within a short walk of the docks. Two of them also work as meeting points for our yachts: Captain Tony's, where the Chaparral 28 and the Bayliner 30 meet, and Fisherman's Landing, where the Sea Ray 65 meets. Our roundup of Cabo marina restaurants covers the rest, with what each one is good for before or after a boat day.
